First off, why go to a boat show?

There is no such thing as the energy you feel at a boat show! Everyone is excited, learning, and shopping around a common interest and passion. A boat show can be a fun experience no matter if you’re brand new to the boating industry or if you’ve been boating all your life! Boat shows are a great overview of the industry and type of products available. Shopping in person provides you with the unique opportunity to see and touch the products. You can talk directly with the salespeople, as well as other boaters and attendees to ask any and every question you may have.

How To Make The Most Out of Your Day at The Boat Show

Set Goals

It can be extremely helpful to analyze what your goals are for attending a boat show. Maybe it is simply to spend time with your family or finalize your dream purchase. Whatever it may be, having a rough idea of why you are attending can help you better plan your day. Visiting boat show’s websites will provide you with a lot of information including parking, lodging, pre-purchase tickets, maps, and more.

Get Familiar

When you get to the show, pick up a show guide which will have a useful map and a directory of exhibitors and their locations. Having a good grasp of who’s there, what they’re advertising, and where they are going to be located will better prepare you for what you want to accomplish. However, never be too afraid to ask for help! There will be event staff and exhibitors that will be more than happy to direct you to what you’re looking for.

You’re Investing in the Company

An important thing to consider when shopping for a boat is to look beyond the product. Make sure you spend time with the owners and staff.
