Many would agree that owning a boat is at the top of their bucket list! The feeling of freedom, excitement, and achievement when you step into your boat for the first time is unlike any other! But we’ll be the first to admit, purchasing a boat is no minor decision. Boats can be expensive and owning one is a big commitment. It can often be a frightening prospect, especially with little boating experience. But as we’ve all realized throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, life is fragile and we have to take advantage of every moment! So, if you’re ready to start making life-long memories with your family on the water but not ready to commit to buying a boat, join The Boat House Boat Club!

Joining our Boat Club allows you to enjoy all of the benefits of owning a newer boat without having to worry about maintenance, repairs, or monthly loan payments. Simply show up with your cooler and crew and we’ll take care of the rest! Explore the FAQ’s below and feel free to reach out with any questions!

What is included with my Boat Club Membership?

As a member of the Boat Club you’ll have access to any of the boats in our Boat Club fleet including pontoons and crusiers/runabouts. Our fleet ratio is one boat for every 8 members, so you’ll never have a problem reserving a boat. Going out with a big crew for a pleasure cruise? Take a pontoon and cruise into sunset! Taking your family out tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding? Take a runabout and tube till they can’t hold on any longer!

How do reservations work?

Your membership gets you 30+ reservations a season! Members are allowed up to 2 weekday reservations (Mon-Fri) and 1 weekend reservation (Sat/Sun) at a time. Bookings are offered in shifts with 3 available timeslots per day:

• 9:00am – 12:30pm
• 1:00pm – 4:30pm
• 5:00pm – 8:00pm

The Boat House Boat Club season runs from mid-May to the first week in October. *Holiday hours are subject to change.

How much does the Boat Club cost?

To join The Boat House Boat Club you’ll pay a one-time initiation fee (varied by location) and a monthly payment. Fuel is your only additional cost. Gear & equipment is provided and included. You essentially get a new boat every year without having to worry about depreciation. Compared to the cost of owning, operating, and maintaining a boat, everyone will agree that joining the Boat Club is the most cost effective and risk-free way to enjoy the boating lifestyle with your family!

Can I split the membership with friends/family?

Absolutely! That is one of the greatest benefits of joining the Boat Club! You can share the cost of your membership with friends and family allowing you to enjoy all of the benefits of boat ownership at an even lower cost.

Can I use my Boat Club membership for corporate outings?

Indeed you can! Members can host corporate outings or hold business meetings anytime. Just set the reservation and enjoy!

What if I decide to purchase a boat instead?

Guranteed Money Back Program – So, you’ve fallen in love with the boating lifestyle and decided that you’re ready to make a purchase! Great news! Boat Club members have the option to apply the money they’ve spent on their membership towards the cost of any boat we have in-stock.

Do I need to provide my own equipment?

Nope! We have all of the gear and equipment you’ll need to enjoy a great day on the water! When you call to make the reservation, simply let us know what watersports you’d like to enjoy and our team will make sure you’re ready to rock! Each boat will come with the required safety equipment including life jackets, throwable, fire extinguisher, anchor, horn, etc.

Can I cancel my membership?

Once you get a taste of the good life, you’ll have a hard time letting go but things change and we get that! You can cancel your membership at any time with no cancellation fees.

Is there staff available to assist w/ boarding, leaving the dock and returning to the dock?

Boating can have a steep learning curve but not to fear, our team is here to help! Our staff will give you a full rundown of everything you need to know while enjoying your boat. We’ll help you get all of your gear and crew on-board, get you out on the water, and we’ll be waiting at the pier to receive you when you’re finished.

Does my Boat Club membership apply to other locations?

One of the most exciting aspects of joining The Boat House Boat Club is reciprocating memberships! If you belong to The Boat House Boat Club Lake Geneva, you’ll also have access to The Boat House Boat Club Chicago on the Fox Chain O’ Lakes in Illinois and vice versa. That’s right! Your membership gives you access to two of the most popular bodies of water in the Midwest!
